Vacuum forming can be divided into vacuum forming and compressed air forming. Compressed air forming is an upgraded version of vacuum forming with improved technology, higher efficiency, faster speed and better forming effect on the basis of vacuum forming. Whether vacuum forming or air forming, both of them go through the same process:
1. Mold design and production
2. Purchase of vacuum forming materials
3. Vacuum (air pressure) forming production
4. Product inspection, baling and delivery
At present, common materials used in vacuum forming include HIPS, PP, PET, PVC, PP, ABS, PE, etc... HIPS and PP are mainly produced with white and black materials, HIPS features are more brittle, and PP materials are more tough; In addition, the production of PET and PVC is mainly based on transparent materials. PVC is relatively strong in toughness compared with PET. However, the import of PVC is prohibited in eu, Japan, Australia and other countries due to environmental protection reasons. PE, ABS market share is relatively small. The above materials can be made in various colors upon customer's request.
Mould making. Vacuum forming is generally divided into gypsum mold, copper mold, aluminum mold. Gypsum moulds are generally used for trial samples, and the mass production is mainly copper moulds. Large quantity and high quality requirements of the product will choose aluminum mold production. Because gypsum characteristic is brittle, unfavorable mass production, copper mold is copper electrolysis after infiltration fill gypsum. Mass production time is long, gypsum and copper shell separation leads to product deformation, and aluminum mold life is long, good quality! However, due to the high precision and high speed of the air die, the design of the die must consider the cold water cycle cooling after the vacuum forming die is heated. The mold material must be made of aluminum and steel by CNC, and the cost is more than 10 times that of the vacuum aluminum mold.
The vacuum forming die, material and production process flow are provided by Suzhou blister packaging products of Jinaowei. Keywords: blister, blister packaging.
