In recent years, more and more laboratories have been built in domestic universities, but the safety problems of laboratories also occur frequently.
On December 26, 2018, an explosion occurred in the Laboratory of Municipal engineering and Environmental Engineering, School of Civil Engineering, East Campus of Beijing Jiaotong University, during a scientific experiment on landfill leachate sewage treatment. Three graduate students participating in the experiment were killed.
On March 27, 2017, a lab at Fudan University exploded, injuring a student's hand.
On September 21, 2016, an explosion occurred in a laboratory of The School of Chemical, Chemical and Biological Engineering at Donghua University, seriously injuring two students and slightly injuring one student.
On January 10, 2016, a laboratory in the Science and Technology Building of Beijing University of Chemical Technology caught fire suddenly, but no one was injured. These disastrous lessons tell us that we must pay attention to the problem of laboratory safety.
The technical industry has specialized, but if even the professional person may also exist negligence inevitable injury, then we in the university laboratory, for some inflammable, explosive, toxic, harmful, corrosive goods, how can we completely solve the safety concerns of these chemicals? How can you take your time in an emergency to minimize the damage and loss?
1. When entering the laboratory, you must wear the necessary work clothes according to the regulations.
2. Protective equipment (respirator, protective gloves, protective glasses) must be worn when conducting experiments or studies on hazardous substances, VOLATILE organic solvents, specific chemicals, or other toxic chemicals listed by THE EPA.
3. Avoid eating and drinking food in the lab.
4. Please observe the operating rules or follow the teacher's operating procedures or carry out experiments, and do not change the experimental procedures by yourself.
5. Select professional companies that specialize in remote mountains, companies that develop safety equipment, and safety cabinets that specialize in storing corrosive chemicals.
So why do you do that?
1) Can very effectively manage a large number of drugs or samples in university laboratories.
2) Acid and alkali resistant cabinets are characterized by strong acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance.
3) The window is made of tempered glass (or plexiform glass, PVC board) with a thickness of 5mm, which can prevent the window glass from cracking when the glass does not crack, causing danger to operators.
4) A safety door lock is attached to facilitate the use of controlled drugs and has a louver hole at the bottom to allow air to flow into the cabinet.
5) Hinge and handle: made of homogeneous PP polypropylene material.
6) Common specifications of acid-alkali resistant cabinets: the width of the cabinets is 1200mm, which can be customized according to customer requirements.
